Applying to the procurement process starting on or after 24th February 2025, PPN 06/21 has been renamed PPN 006, aligning carbon reporting requirements with the Procurement Act 2023 and Procurement Regulations 2024. While the legal reference numbering has changed, the core requirements for compliance remain the same.

If you’re preparing to bid for a major government contract worth £5M per annum or more, you’ll still need to provide a fully compliant Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP) that outlines your base year and current year emissions across Scope 1, Scope 2, and 5 categories of Scope 3, includes a Net Zero commitment by 2050 and demonstrates your environmental management measures.

McGrady Clarke helps organisations develop robust, actionable CRPs:

  • Meet PPN 006 compliance expectations
  • Align seamlessly with your SQ submission
  • Reflect your Net Zero strategy and reporting
  • Support verification if required at the award stage
  • Demonstrate reliability and public sector readiness

Public sector suppliers are under increasing pressure to back up sustainability claims with evidence. A well-prepared CRP is a signal of your organisation’s credibility, leadership and long-term alignment with the government’s Net Zero goals.

We work as an extension of your team, providing subject matter expertise that helps turn compliance into competitive advantage.
