Committed to achieving Net Zero emissions, in the reporting years 2023 and 2024 Selamedical UK Ltd has partnered with McGrady Clarke to complete their PPN 06/21 assessment, including their in-scope emissions calculations, Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP) and their CRP declaration statement.
A PPN 06/21 assessment is mandatory for any organisation bidding on UK central government contracts worth over £5 million per annum and businesses may risk disqualification from the tendering process if the assessment is not carried out or is not compliant.
Under the PPN 06/21 framework, UK Gov suppliers must develop a Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP) detailing their carbon emissions across Scopes 1, 2, and a specified subsection of Scope 3. They must also commit to achieving Net Zero by 2050.
McGrady Clarke’s carbon specialists found that Scope 3 emissions, which include emissions from Selamedical UK Ltd’s wider value chain, accounted for 98.8% of total in-scope emissions within the most recent reporting year, with business travel alone contributing 78.5%. By leveraging accurate data, targeted actions can be taken to address key emission hotspots. NHS Evergreen Assessment
Organisations completing a PPN 06/21 for an NHS tender must also conduct an NHS Evergreen Assessment.
